This site is dedicated to the memory of our mother

Mum was born on 15.1.1938 in India. She was 1 of 5 siblings with 3 sisters & 1 brother. Never have I seen siblings to have so much love & respect for one another. They share this inner soft nature & caring characteristic about them all, which made them so incredibly alike.

My mother married in 1958 at the age of 20 & moved to Kenya 2 years later. Where my brother was born the apple of her affection. They moved to UK in 1962, where me & my sister were born. Mum was regarded as a workaholic, who could never could sit still. When we started school mum started working in a fabric shop & than worked for a company called J.J Cashes as a 'final inspector. But sadly after around 10 years mum retired after undergoing 13 operations due to developing severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. So her love & time for gardening took over. Mum always believed in getting up early & starting the day with prays at 7am & ending each day with prays at 7pm. Until August 2009 mum suffered a stroke. This left mum unable to move from the neck down & with short team memory lose. Mum will always be regarded as a fighter she never gave up on life. Mum will power & inner strength gave her back the ability to leave the hospital after 2 half months. With a lot of care & love mum pushed herself so she was able to walk with a simmer frame within 12 months. In 2011, the family for-filled her wish to go to India. However, in 2013 mum develop a throat infection which left her unable to drink & eat. After another 2 months in hospital mum came home unable to have the strength in her legs to walk. This never stopped my mum, she wanted to live & we made sure she never felt isolated from the outside world. Her wheelchair became mum freedom & sunshine for the outdoors. In 2015 mum developed signs of dementia & started to lose the will to eat. So fluid became her only intake. This slowly became a bigger problem in 2016. I never thought my 'super women' would never make it. Only to realize my mum took her last breath on Thursday 18th February 2016 at 9.10. May you R.I.P mum. Love you!
